WEG Study Finds Racetrack Has $237 Million Economic Impact

In an article published by Virginia Business Magazine on July 27, 2018, quoted a recent economic impact study released in April by The Washington Economics Group, Inc. (WEG), an economic consulting firm based in Coral Gables, Florida. According to the study, each year VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) generates $237 million in total economic impact in the state, with $197 million or 83 percent of that occurring in the local region.
