Consumer Confidence in Florida Jumps Three Points in May

According to a monthly University of Florida Survey released on Tuesday, Consumer Confidence reading in May jumps to 77, reversing a three-month decline. The latest figure is nine points higher than it was a year ago. South Florida Sun-Sentinel reporter, Donna Gehrke-White in an interview with Tony Villamil, Dean of the St. Thomas University School of Business and Principal Economic Advisor of The Washington Economics Group, Inc. stated that “Floridians’ mood now is at the same level as it was in January before gas prices began jumping.”
