Media Highlights Findings of WEG’s Economic Impact Study

The Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research recently commissioned The Washington Economics Group, Inc. (WEG), as independent consultants, to analyze the economic impacts of the Institute and its supported companies on the Florida economy. A recent 4-Traders article highlights the findings of the study and the organization’s catalytic and growing role in supporting Florida’s overall economic development strategy. Between 2011 and 2014, the Institute generated $210 million in total economic impact and created 1,329 jobs, 80% of which are in targeted, knowledge-based industries.
