Tony Villamil Quoted in the Sun-Sentinel on South Florida’s High Cost of Living

On November 12, the Sun Sentinel released an article discussing the impact of high living costs in Palm Beach and Broward Counties and the United Way’s recent ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) Study on financial hardship. Tony Villamil, Founder and Principal was quoted in the Sun Sentinel regarding this topic explaining that, “Although the cost of living is higher in South Florida, the area’s service economy keep wages low.” According to the article and the ALICE Study, stagnant wages and a high cost of living are preventing more than 4 of 10 households in Palm Beach and Broward counties from saving and even affording basic necessities, and households that struggle the most can be found in the region’s oldest, centrally located neighborhoods.
