This Fall will be Tony Villamil’s last as Dean of the Business School at St. Thomas University. In the July 17th issue of Miami Today, reporter Samantha Joseph interviewed the Dean and WEG Founder on his upcoming departure and time at the University as well as his University colleagues. Dean Villamil spent the past 5 years bringing national and international attention to the School of Business – a claim made by the University’s President, Monsignor Casale who says that Villamil “transformed the school into one with global outreach and a powerful vision for the future.” Dean Villamil is still very much committed to the University saying that he is “still fully active with the capital campaign, heavily involved with the Dean’s Advisory Board and all aspects of the School.” In January 2014, Dr. Villamil will return to WEG full-time to serve the economic consulting needs of the firm’s clients.
