Tony Villamil delivers Keynote Address to Lakeland Area Business Leaders

For the fifth year, Tony Villamil, WEG Founder and Principal Advisor and St. Thomas University Dean of School of Business presented the 2013 local and statewide economic outlook at the 26th Annual Economic Forecast Breakfast hosted by Allen & Company and the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce. The event, attended by more than 500 area business leaders, focused on the outlook for the I-4 corridor in 2013, which has one of the strongest economic outlooks for the State. According to Dr. Villamil, as quoted in the Lakeland Ledger, “The I-4 corridor is leading our state in economic activity. (You’re) the business and logistics hub of Florida,” adding that the “within the state, the I-4 corridor, South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) and Jacksonville should rank among the better-performing metro areas in 2013.”  Read more
