Tony Villamil Quoted in the Palm Beach Post on South Florida’s Economic Recovery

Palm Beach County has been slower to bounce back during the economic recovery than Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.  In a March 2nd article by Emily Roach in the Palm Beach Post, one reason for Palm Beach’s slower recovery, according to Tony Villamil, WEG Founder and Principal Advisor and Dean of the St. Thomas University School of Business, could be that Palm Beach doesn’t “have as much global business relative to trade and relative to investment and relative to visitors.” Villamil added that “more of the national trends are affecting Palm Beach.” On the region’s recovery, Tony said that we’ve “certainly seen a recovery in South Florida….tourism and real estate and the influence from South America…it just takes its time to make it up I-95.”
