WEG Principal and STU Dean School of Business Quoted in Miami Herald on Economic Growth in South Florida

New numbers released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis on September 17th show that real estate is the top contributor to economic growth in South Florida in 2012. Doug Hanks of the Miami Herald interviewed Tony Villamil, WEG’s Founder and Principal and Dean of the Business School at St. Thomas University on these findings. Rising property values and a rebound in construction activity have propelled real estate’s return as the top economic engine in the region.
